Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role provides day-to-day support for the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions while ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.</p><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Location: </strong></strong>Toronto (On-site)</p><p><strong><strong>Schedule: </strong></strong>Monday to Friday; 8AM to 4:30PM</p><p><strong><strong>Salary Range:</strong></strong> $48,000 to $53,000</p><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></strong></p><p><strong><strong>Accounts Receivable:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Process customer payments received by cheque, EFT, e-Transfer, credit card, and debit card</li><li>Post customer payments by recording cash, cheque, and credit card transactions</li><li>Prepare bank deposits and maintain deposit logs</li><li>Investigate and follow up with internal and external stakeholders regarding invoice and payment discrepancies</li><li>Follow up with customers regarding past-due invoices, credit holds, credit releases, and credit limits</li><li>Escalate delinquent or high-risk accounts to management as appropriate</li><li>Send invoices through customer portals</li><li>Process credit applications for new customers</li><li>Set up new customer accounts and maintain existing customer information in the system</li><li>Generate aging reports and other accounts receivable reports as required</li><li>Perform other AR duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong><strong>Accounts Payable:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Process vendor invoices</li><li>Reconcile vendor statements and address all past-due items</li><li>Respond to inquiries from vendors and other internal contacts</li><li>Meet deadlines and obtain proper invoice approvals</li><li>Month/year end closes</li><li>Perform other AP duties as assigned</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><strong>Requirements:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>1+ year of work experience in a related field</li><li>Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles</li><li>Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in accounting is an asset</li><li>Strong computer skills</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)</li><li>Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills</li><li>Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet time sensitive deadlines</li><li>Team player</li></ul><p> </p><p>IDN-Canada offers a competitive salary and benefit package, monthly & yearly bonus opportunities, commissions, and a RSP program.
